Anti-Porn Software Developed in China
Chinese scientists have developed an advanced system that can protect computers from pornographic materials.
The software, developed by the Xunfei Information Technology Co.Ltd. under the Chinese University of Science and Technology, can recognize pornographic information and close the related operating systems automatically.
Experts said the product may help create a clean and healthy cyberspace if it is widely adopted.
According to a company source, the product has already been put into use in central China's Henan Province and Anhui Province in the east.
China has more than 16 million Internet users. Concern has been raised about the increasing amount of pornography on the Web.
