Vietnam's Prime Minister Stresses Sino-Vietnam Cooperation

Vietnamese Prime Minister Phan Van Khai stressed that Vietnam and China should further promote bilateral economic-commercial relations, thus contributing to the development of both countries.

Khai made the remarks Tuesday during meeting with new Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Qi Jianguo, who arrived here at the end of last month.

Khai, also member of the Politburo Standing Board of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, expressed his delight in the smooth development of Sino-Vietnam relations in recent years.

He said the Sino-Vietnam political relation is becoming closer and the economic relation between the two countries is becoming better. This conforms to the fundamental interests of the two peoples and benefits the peace, stability, cooperation and development of the region and the world.

The Vietnamese Prime Minister expressed his hopes that hereafter more Chinese enterprises come to invest in Vietnam; the cooperative effect between the two countries will be promoted and the economic-commercial relations between the two countries raised to a new level.
