Customs Officials in Asian-Pacific to Seek Cooperation
Customs officials from 16 Asian-Pacific countries and regions gathered Tuesday at a forum in Xi'an, northwestern Shaanxi Province, to exchange work experiences and discuss on how to intensify cooperation between them.
Organizers, the officials with the General Administration of Customs, said the three-day meeting is to increase cooperation among the countries and regions in fighting against drug trafficking and illegal activities involved in trade.
Representatives from Asia-Pacific will exchange views on how to work out laws and procedures on cooperation. Customs officials from industrialized countries will report on their crackdown on pricing frauds at the meeting as a reference for the developing countries, with China in particular.
