First State Drug Safety Evaluation Lab Established

The first state evaluation laboratory on clinic practice safety of new drug was recently established in Hangzhou, capital city of east China's Zhejiang Province.

The laboratory is said to be up to international GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) standards.

China began to build five key evaluation laboratories on drug safety in 1997 in Hangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou.
