In recent months, a series of malpractices and illegal activities by local hospitals have been exposed by the media. In one instance, doctors at a hospital in Harbin, the provincial capital of Heilongjiang, profiteered from patients by making changes in medical records and forcing the patients to stay on in the hospital for more days. |
