Guo'an and Longxin to Vie CFA Cup Title

Beijing Guo'an and Chongxing Longxin will vie for the title of the Chinese Football Association (CFA) Cup after beating their rivals on the aggregate respectively on Sunday.

Guo'an lost to the visiting Wuhan Hearts K 1-0 at Sunday's second leg of the semi-finals but a 3-1 first leg victory was enough to anchor them the final berth.

Zheng Bin scored the only goal for the Wuhan side in the 72nd minute after Guo'an's several golden scoring chances were denied by Hearts K's goalie Mu Jun.

"Our team has rarely played so smartly as in this match at Beijing in the past few years. This is really a good experience for our young players," said Yin Lihua, head coach of the Wuhan team.

Wei Kexing, head coach of Guo'an, said his players have tried their best but they are a little bit "unlucky".

"We failed to grasped several good chances," Wei said. "That also showed that we still have a lot to prove."

Chongqing Longxin, who crushed defending champions Luneng Taishan 3-1 in the first leg, maintained their momentum, winning 2-1 at home and entered the finals with 5-2 on the aggregate.

Taishan's star striker Su Maozhen was sent off in the injury time for two booked offences.
