NPC Vice-Chairwoman Meets UN Guests

Peng Peiyun, vice-chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, met Monday with a delegation from the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women of the United Nations.

Peng, also president of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), exchanged views with members of the delegation on how to protect the interest of women, ensure equality between men and women and other issues of common concern.

The members of the delegation are from Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Philippines. They are visiting China at the invitation of the ACWF.
