East China's Jiangsu Province reported a year-on-year 48 percent rise in exports to 13.8 billion US dollars from January to July this year.
Since the beginning of the year, local exports have kept growing by an average of 47 percent every month, a consecutive big rise which has not been seen in the past six years.
Local overseas-funded enterprises did 7.57 billion US dollars in exports during the January-July period, a rise of 50 percent on a yearly basis, with the exports by private enterprises being 10 times the 1999 figure to 47 million US dollars in the seven months.
Exports of electron-machinery rose 58 percent to 6.25 billion US dollars, with the volume of high-tech items growing by 60 percent to 2.7 billion US dollars, and textiles went up 44 percent, 3.9 billion US dollars.
