Guangdong Elec. & Power Forges Plan for Issuing Additional A Shares

The directorate of Guangdong Electric and Power Co., Ltd., (0539) recently passed the motion on issuing additional A shares, which also got approval in the first Provisional General Meeting of Shareholders in 2000. The company plans to issue less than 84 million shares of A shares by accumulative bidding inquiries. Capital raised will all be used for the acquisition of Guangdong Electric and Power Group Shajiao Power Plant (second session).

The directorate also passed the motion on acquiring Guangdong Electric and Power Group Shajiao Power Plant (second session), price of the acquisition will depend on the confirmed asset evaluation.
