Qingdao International Beer Festival OpensThe 2000 Qingdao International Beer Festival opened its gates Saturday in the east coast city of Qingdao in Shandong Province.The opening ceremony of this 10th beer festival was held at a seaside resort in Qingdao, which is known for its German-style beer. Performances on the ground and in the air, involving 10,000 people, and a gala display is part of the opening ceremony, with art performances by thousands of artists from a dozen of countries and regions worldwide. Many Chinese and overseas brewers are at the festival providing their famous brands to satisfy the taste of beer lovers. A beer fair, beer culture show and other events will also be organized during the festival, hosted by the city government. A trade and investment fair, an exposition on food and processing equipment and a series of tourism and sports activities will also be hosted during the festival. |
