China's Changchun Film Festival Ends

The Fifth Changchun Film Festival closed Saturday in the capital of the northeast China's Jilin Province.

The Best Chinese Film Award went to "China's First A-Bomb", shot by the Beijing Film Studio, while the Best Foreign language Film to "Rosetta", jointly produced by France and Belgium.

The film titled "Sorrow of Shahe River" from China's Taiwan and the Japanese film "Fish in August" won the excellent Chinese Film and excellent Foreign Language Film awards, respectively.

The best actor award was picked by Li Youbin, who starred in " China's First A-Bomb" while the best actress award was given to Tangna, who played a leading role in the Chinese film "The Last Deer Hunter".

During the 4-day event, 110 films from nine countries and regions were shown, which attracted some 300,000 audience.

The festival also witnessed booming trade of film and TV serials, with trade agreement reached on 48 film and over 70 TV series.

The next Changchun festival will be held in 2002.
