China Reaches Semis in Asian Youth Volleyball Chamionships
China entered semi-finals of the Aisan men's youth volleyball championships by beating defending champion Iran here on Thursday.
China, who was unbeaten in three group matches, went ahead 25-19 in the first set. But Iran, cheered by a home crowd of 6,000, pulled it even by winning the second set 25-23.
The Chinese took command after that, winning the next two sets 25-19 and 25-18.
Saudi Arabia and Japan will meet in the other semi-final later.
