NPC Chairman Visits Hall of Science and Technology
Li Peng
, chairman of the Standing Committee of the China's National People's Congress (NPC), visited the new exhibition sector of the Chinese Hall of Science and Technology in the capital Thursday.
The new sector of the 5.8-hectare hall was opened this April and displays over 600 exhibits, reflecting the most advanced technology in the world.
Li carefully examined the exhibits and encouraged Chinese scientists to further their research.
Eight vice-chairmen of the NPC Standing Committee and those attending the 17th Session of the Ninth NPC Standing Committee also visited the Hall.
