Vice Foreign Minister Condoles on Death of Kursk Victims

Ji Peiding, vice foreign minister of China, expressed condolences at the Russian Embassy here today on the death of officers and men in the Russian Kursk submarine tragedy.

Ji wrote in the condolences book: "On behalf of the Chinese government and people, I hereby express condolences over the death of the Russian officers and men aboard the Kursk submarine and sympathy to the relatives of the victims."

Representatives from the Chinese Ministry of Defence were also present on the occasion.
