Three Xinhua Employees Among Dead in Gulf Air Plane Crash

The three Chinese who were killed in the Gulf Air plane crash were employees of the Chinese Xinhua News Agency, the Xinhua website reported Thursday.

They were returning home after visiting their husbands who work at Xinhua's Middle East regional office and Cairo Bureau, said the website (WWW.Xinhuanet.com).

All 143 passengers and crew members aboard the ill-fated plane were killed in the disaster and their bodies have been recovered.

The two-engined Airbus A320, on flight the Egyptian capital of Cairo, crashed into the shallow waters in the Gulf near the runway Wednesday night after two unsuccessful landing attempts at the Bahraini International Airport.
