Chinese Table-tennis Team to Stage Simulation Warm-up

The Chinese Table-tennis Team is getting prepared these days through closed-door training for an Olympic simulation warm-up in Hebei Gym at Zhengding, Hebei Province. All members of the team will be included in the upcoming match.

Cai Zhenhua, head coach of the team, said that the upcoming match is to be an important warm-up prior to Sydney Olympics through which he will check into training results achieved in the past few days, he said. We hope to find out the inadequacies and problems and make appropriate adjustments through simulation matches to be held. It is completely necessary to get every player well prepared for the Olympics, he added.

News report says that high-level competition and combat of strengths will highlight the simulation match contrasting other warm-ups in the past and through matches the athletes will be enabled to find themselves on a simulation scene before Sydney Olympics.

Cai Zhenhua is satisfied with recent training circs provided. He said that some athletes were formerly not in good shape due to many matches held at home and abroad. But closed training has helped his athletes to get good physique and psyches for matches expected. Simulation warm-up will help his athletes to fight all the more satisfactorily and with greater confidence through Olympic matches in Sydney, he told.
