Xinjiang to Develop Leopoldite Resource

Four enterprises from Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region have jointly invested 420 million yuan in the Lop Nur region to develop the area's leopoldite resource, which is in short supply in China.

The potash salt mines in the Lop Nur region are currently being built. By next year, 20 tons of leopoldite sulfate and 3 tons of nitrate potash is expected to be mined. According to the current market price, the production value next year will reach to 414 million yuan and earn 95.33 million yuan in profit.
