First Chinese Folk Song Festival Held
The First Chinese Folk Song Festival opened on Monday in Lichuan City in central China's Hubei Province.
The festival, aimed at displaying the charms of Chinese folk songs, has attracted folk song singers from across the country including 20 prestigious ones.
Local sources said the China Central Television Station will videotape the 3-day event and broadcast it in special programs during the traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival that will fall in September.
