Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao Police Increase Cooperation
Police officers in charge of criminal cases from Guangdong Province, Hong Kong and Macao held their first meeting Tuesday to intensify cooperation in cracking down cross-border crimes.
The officers exchanged information on social order for the first seven months of the year and discuss possible cooperation measures, one of which is to keep in touch with each other around the clock.
From January to July, Guangdong police transferred eight and four criminals wanted by Hong Kong and Macao police, respectively and Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao police jointly uncovered some major cases.
The meeting also decided that police in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao will in turn host such a meeting every four months.
