Southwest China Obtains Software Rights From U.S. University

The U.S. Old Dominion University, Virginia, signed an agreement in Nanning August 22 with a new-tech laboratory in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region granting the latter to use its interOP and two other software for scientific research.

The Guangxi Software New-Tech Laboratory, a key research institution in Guangxi, will develop the "intelligent explorer", one of the major research projects in China.

Local sources said that Guangxi will spend 200,000 yuan in introducing interOP, the application of which will make the "intelligent explorer" more competitive in the market.
