Qian Qichen Meets Taiwan Manufacturers' Association Delegation
Vice Premier Qian Qichen met with a delegation from the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association Tuesday.
Electronics and information industries on the mainland are developing very fast. "If the compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Straits intensify cooperation in this field, we will certainly be able to play a major role in the world electronics and information sector," Qian said.
Economic cooperation across the Straits remains stable and continues to grow despite ups and downs, he said, hoping that all Taiwan compatriots would make concerted efforts to promote direct links in trade, transportation and postal services.
