Typhoon Bilis is approaching Taiwan and Fujian provinces in southeast China, according to the Chinese Central Meteorological Station.
At 17:00 Tuesday, the center of the typhoon had moved to the sea area 160 km southeast of Taidong, Taiwan, at 22.0 north and 122.4 east.
The typhoon is expected to move northwestward at 20 km per hour and to land on the eastern coast of Taiwan tonight and on the coastal area of Fujian tomorrow.
The sea areas affected will experience heavy winds ranging from moderate gales to hurricanes. Taiwan, most part of Fujian and Zhejiang provinces, and eastern parts of Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces and the whole Hainan Province are expected to have rainstorms or heavy rains.
