Tibetan Leader Meets With German Ambassador
Legqog, chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Regional People's Government, met Monday with German ambassador to China Hans-Christian Ueberschaer.
Legqog briefed the ambassador on the efforts made by the central government and the autonomous regional government in protecting local cultural relics and hoped that Tibet and Germany would expand cooperation based on mutual respect and equality.
Ueberschaer, who visited Tibet in 1987, expressed his admiration for the progress Tibet has made over the past years.
