Traffic Accident Kills Eight in NW China

Eight people were killed when a mini-bus collided with two lorries on Sunday in Quanxian County of Shaanxi Province, northwest China, sources said Monday.

Another 30 people, including one in one of the lorries, were injured, with six in serious situation.

According to sources, a lorry trying to overtake the mini-bus along the No. 312 national trunk highway bumped against the mini-bus, which run into another lorry coming the other way.

The mini-bus, which carried 37 passengers, was greatly damaged and had to be scrapped, while the two lorries were also damaged tovarious degrees, sources said.
