3,000 People Support Hong Kong's Bid for 2006 Asian Games
Almost 3,000 participants attended a demonstration held by the Hong Kong Labor Union in Tsim Sha Tsui August 20 to support Hong Kong's bid to host the 2006 Asian Games.

Civil Administration Bureau Chairman Lin Huanguang, said that Hong Kong would strive to win the bid for the 2006 Asian Games, as he patrolled the demonstration. Meanwhile, Huo Zhenting, president of Hong Kong Olympic Committee, also expressed his confidence that Hong Kong could hold the Asian Games.
