The full text of the letter is as follows:"On the occasion of the inauguration of the bronze statue of Dr.Bethune, I wish to express, on behalf of the Chinese government and people and in my own name, my warm congratulations to the Memorial Hall of Bethune. Dr. Bethune is an outstanding son of the Canadian people and a great friend of the Chinese people.
