Chinese Disabled Win Four Gold Medals in Prague

The 5th international professional skills competition for the disabled has wound up in Prague Friday, from which Chinese contestants garnered four gold medals in embroidery, batiking, knotting and dress making.

Among the 36 events for the competition, Chinese participants took part in computer programming, fashion designing, wood carving and other 22 items.

The competition, which started Monday, attracted about 800 disabled people from 33 countries and regions.

The Czech Republic is the first European country to host the competition of this kind, which staged its debut in 1981.

The next competition will be held in 2003 in India.
