Customs Officials Disciplined for "Inappropriate Behaviors"
Three clerks with Shanghai Customs were given administrative punishment on Friday for their " inappropriate behavior."
One worker had accepted the invitation of a manager of one freight company to have dinner and go to a sauna and did not pay his own bill. Another two borrowed vehicles owned by two companies for personal use and did not pay for using them.
Lu Peijun, head of Shanghai Customs, said that this kind of behavior is just one step away from malfeasance and could be the beginning of corruption, hence it should not be neglected and tolerated.
