China to Supervise Production Safety of Enterprises
The central government has set up a special working group to supervise the production safety of domestic industrial enterprises.
The supervision will mainly target the industries of civil aviation, railway transportation, communications, tourism, building and petro-chemicals.
The State Economic and Trade Commission announced that from late August to early September, the working group will carry out inspections in the provinces of Jilin, Heilongjiang, Anhui, Zhejiang, Gansu and Shaanxi.
China reported nine serious industrial accidents in the first seven months of the year, killing 524 people.
