Police Shoot Two Car Theft Suspects
Beijing police spokesman confirmed that two car theft suspects who resisted arrest by trying to grab a police gun were shot. One of the men has died and the other was injured.
Police Thursday discovered in Chaoyang District a Cherokee jeep with the license plate CR2712 stolen on July 28 1999. Three suspects resisted arrest and tried to grab a police gun despite of warning. One of the suspect is at large.
Police in Beijing are launching a campaign to fight against auto theft and street crimes.
