Photographers Focusing On Tibet

A group of 20 photographers from at home and abroad started their 25-day trek to the Tibet Autonomous Region from Chengdu the capital city in southwest China's Sichuan province.

The photographers will travel along the Chengdu-Lhasa highway, traveling to the Erlang Mountain, Jinsha, Lancang and Yarlung Zangbo rivers, and some historical sites, ending their journey in Lhasa, capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region.

Their pictures will mainly reflect the themes of "We have only one earth", "Care for health, care for life" and other educational and cultural activities, according to the organizing committee.

The committee will publish an album and hold exhibitions on their pictures in Beijing, Chengdu, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

The event was sponsored by the Sichuan and Tibetan tourism bureaus.
