China's Urban Population Grows to 376 Million
By the end of last year, there are altogether 668 cities in China, with a population of 376 million. The urbanization level is 30.9 percent, an increase of 0.5 percent over previous year.
China's cities cover an area totaling over 812,800 sq. km, including a city proper of 21,524 sq.km. The population intensity is 462 persons per sq. km, 3 persons more than previous year.
