Bone Marrow Gene Database Launched in Shenzhen

China's first marrow gene database was set up in Shenzhen recently. It plans to have 10,000 bone marrow genes stored in the database within three years. The database is designed to preserve all information about inherited genes provided by donors. Once a patient urgently needs a bone marrow transplant, he can look for the same bone marrow type in the database and if there is a match, can receive the bone marrow from the donor.

Due to different races and individuals, probability of finding a match in bone marrow genes is quite low, so it is very important to preserve a large quantity of bone marrow gene information.
