Macao to Choose Outstanding Taxi Drivers
Five taxi bodies in Macao on Wednesday launched a campaign to assess the behavior of taxi drivers with the help of residents and tourists.
Taxi is a major means of public transport in Macao with some 1,000 taxi drivers. The service of taxi will have a direct impact on local tourism to great extent, organizers of the campaign said.
While taking taxi, residents and tourists can obtain voting sheets in Chinese, Portuguese and English, and then drop the sheets into collection boxes at port areas and tourist sites.
Taxi passengers can appraise the taxi drivers in the aspects of the latter's manners, driving security, road familiarity and car tidiness.
The voting sheets are valid till the end of September, and the final result of appraisal will be announced in October. Outstanding taxi drivers will be given certificates of merit and other awards.
