Activity of "International Friendship Month" Starts in Shenyang
Shenyang 2000 International Friendship Month started in this capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province today with a big celebration.
During the "friendship month," which will last until the end of September, the city will have a series of activities such as celebrations for the 2,300th anniversary of the city's founding, Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Art Festival and the Second China Shenyang Trade Fair.
A group of national and international events, which include 2000 China (Shenyang) Agricultural Expo, the Fourth Meeting of East Asian Science Parks, the 2000 Shenyang International Economic and Trade Fair and the Sixth Plenary Session of Women from Southeast Asia and Far-east Regions, will also be held at the same the time of the city's month-long event.
