Sino-Vietnamese Border Sea Tourist Route Opened

A sea tourist route from Ha Long in Viet Nam's northeastern province of Quang Ninh to Fang Cheng in China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has been opened under a contract signed recently in Ha Long city, Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported Monday.

Under the contract between the Ha Long Investment and Production Development and the Mui Ngoc Co. Ltd. of Vietnam and China's Fang Cheng Tourist Company, ships will be used to carry tourists of Vietnam and China to the other side as from September this year.

The contract, together with the opening on June 27 of a transport route linking Tien Yen district in Quang Ninh province and Fang Cheng, will help further cement tourism cooperation between the two countries, VNA said.

As many as 13,000 Chinese tourists came to Vietnam in the first six months of this year.
