President Jiang Meets Arafat
Chinese President
Jiang Zemin
met Monday with Palestinian President Yasser Arafat who arrived in Beijing early Monday morning for a working visit at the invitation of Jiang.
The meeting at Beidaihe, the seaside resort 300 kilometers east of Beijing is still going on at press time.
Arafat is expected to discuss with Jiang the Middle East peace process.
