Chinese President Meets US Law Maker

Chinese President Jiang Zemin met Monday with Bill Archer, member of the US House of Representatives and chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee in Beidaihe, a seaside resort about 300 kilometers east of Beijing.

Archer and his delegation, who are guests of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress, will also travel to northwest China's Shaanxi province and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
