DPRK Leader Satisfied With Development of Inter-Korean TiesThe leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Kim Jong Il, said Saturday that he is satisfied with the smooth development of the Inter-Korean relations since the signing of a joint declaration on June 15 between the two sides of the Korean peninsula. He made the remark during a meeting with a South Korean media delegation, which left for home Saturday after winding up its eight-day visit to DPRK. Kim said that relations between the two sides are advancing along the line of national reconciliation, solidarity and reunification after the signing of the joint declaration, the Korean Central News Agency reported Sunday. He said that he is willing to work hand in hand with anyone supporting and accepting the joint declaration and to participate in all efforts aimed at achieving national reconciliation.
