Fuzhou to Host International Timber Fair
An international timber fair will be held in this capital of east China's Fujian Province on November 12-14.
More than 1,000 companies from the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Australia, Indonesia and Singapore have confirmed that they will attend the fair.
During the event, the exhibitors will display wood and bamboo products, furniture, decoration materials and forestry machinery.
The fair will be sponsored by the State Forestry Administration, several national forestry or timber trade associations and the Fuzhou city government.
A local forestry official said China is short of 60 million cu m of timber since the country started to implement forest protection policies.
