Representatives from both South Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), at a meeting in Pyongyang Friday, agreed on cooperation and work for national reunification.

Under the five-point agreement, press bodies of the two sides will work for national reunification and unity, cease mutual slandering and promote inter-Korean media exchange, according to the South Korean news media.

In addition, a DPRK press delegation will visit Seoul.

The agreement was signed by Choe Hak-rae, president of South Korea Newspapers Association and Choe Chil-nam, editor-in-chief of the DPRK Rodong Sinmun in Pyongyang, according to the Yonhap News Agency.
