Beijing Olympic Application Websites League, formed of 23 member websites including http://www.peopledaily.com.cn, sponsored by Beijing Olympic Application Committee (BOAC), was founded on August 10. A news conference was also called in Beijing at which the disc "Let Our Dream Become True" was issued.
Beijing Olympic Application Websites League is the first and the only websites league for publicizing Olympic application in China, with its member websites formed into a powerful influential publicizing force both at home and abroad. It involves 70 percent of Internet users in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and some other large cities in China. They not only support Beijing's Olympic application on net but also post BOAC's website link in a notable place of homepages and hot channels as in those of news and sports channels. They even set special channels for publicizing the activities of Beijing Olympic application. At the same time, BOAC provides information for Olympic application publicizing free of charge. Concerted efforts will be made for a great campaign in publicizing Beijing's Olympic application on the net.
