First Aviation Life Insurance Online

The China Ping'an Insurance Company has opened on-line life insurance services for aviation passengers.

The company signed an agreement today with the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China and the Beijing Jinhang Information Co., Ltd. to jointly operate the services.

Passengers now may get insurance policies from terminal networks when they receive their flight tickets, which will help to simplify sales procedures as well as stop the circulation of fake insurance policies.

Reliable insurance services are also available at some 5,000 ticket agencies and 28,000 computer terminals all over China, which operate on a network of China's civil aviation commercial data.

The new insurance service is operating on a trial basis in Shenzhen and Shanghai at present, and it will soon be put into operation in other parts of the country, according to a representative of Ping'an.
