China's Beancurd Cultural Festival in Anhui
2000' China's Beancurd Cultural Festival will be held in Huainan City in east China's Anhui Province from September 15 to 17.
Jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation and Anhui Provincial Government, the festival will present various trade talks and cultural programs.
During the festival, the process of China's beancurd making will be displayed to visitors and numerous beancurd dishes.
Huainan City is the hometown of beancurd with a history of more than 2,000 years.
Since 1992, the city has hosted six beancurd cultural festivals entertaining more than 20,000 visitors from home and abroad. More than 300 Chinese and overseas scholars have attended beancurd cultural seminars.
The beancurd cultural festivals have brought about 7 billion yuan in investment from overseas businesspeople.
