Uganda Looking for More Chinese Investors

Ugandan Prime Minister Apolo Nsibambi said Thursday in Kampala that Uganda is looking for further cooperation with China in the fields of economy and trade, hoping that more Chinese entrepreneurs will invest in his country.

Nsibambi made the remarks at the handover ceremony of food production and research project funded and constructed by China.

On behalf of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, the prime minister expressed appreciation for China's assistance and technology transfer to Uganda, saying Uganda will take full advantage of the technology and its rich resources.

At the ceremony, Chinese ambassador to Uganda Zhang Xujiang said that the project will help Uganda make a good use of local resources and promote its export.

Besides cooperation between the two governments, more and more Chinese private investors have come to Uganda, which will promote the overall economic and trade cooperation between China and Uganda.
