Chinese Software Goes Abroad

China's software entered the Australian market as Huajian Group Co. Ltd began to sell translation software to the country this Wednesday.

These sales are a breakthrough for China's software industry as imported software products have long dominated the Chinese market.

Huajian sold multi-language translation software worth 400,000 US dollars to the Australian company Fly Bridge.

Fly Bridge will use the software for the multi-lingual Internet portal www.transea.com.

According to a report from the China Software Industry Association, China's software market received revenues of 2.2 billion US dollars last year, which is 0.42 percent of the world market.

To pace up the development of software industry, Chinese government last month reduced taxes on software producers to three percent.

Software industry output in the country will surpass 21 billion yuan this year.
