China, Zimbabwe Sign Cooperation Agreement
China and Zimbabwe Wednesday signed an agreement in Harare on provision of 20 million RMB yuan (about 2.4 million US dollars) interest-free loan to Zimbabwe with a view to further developing the friendly relations and the economic and technical cooperation between the two countries.
According to the agreement, the loan will be utilized within three years starting from October 1, 2000 for implementing the projects which will be decided through consultations by the two governments.
Zimbabwe's Minister of Finance and Economic Development Simba Makoni and Assistant Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of China He Xiaowei signed the agreement on behalf of their respective government.
