Website, Traditional Seller Join Hands in E-commerce

Ccidnet.com, an Internet company has joined hands with China's biggest mobile products seller Hanlinhui to set up a new e-commerce company on Tuesday.

The new company, the CCID-Hanlin, will try to provide e-commerce platform for Chinese firms. Ccidnet.com holds 60 percent stock of the new company and Hanlinhui, 40 percent.

"Only by combining traditional commerce, can e-commerce platform minimize cost and maximize efficiency," said Li Ying, President and CEO of Ccidnet.com.

Experts agreed that China is still in its preliminary stage of e-commerce development. A survey launched by Chinese Center of Computer & Microelectronics Industry Development (CCID) showed the business-to-business e-commerce trade volume last year was 700 million yuan.

The survey also found that most enterprises were using Internet only to broadcast or receive information.

Ccidnet.com, opened this March by CCID, has set up a dealing and settlement system.
