China to Hold International Real Estate Expo
The first China International Real Estate Expo will be held November 16 to 19 in the capital's China International Exhibition Center.
The Expo is sponsored by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the China Association of Real Estate Industry and the Investment Research Institute under the State Development Planning Commission.
The expo will be divided into four exhibitions. Delegations from provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities nationwide, real estate companies, development zones and listed companies as well as financial investment institutions will attend the expo.
Expo organizers said that the expo will provide a good opportunity for real estate business people from home and abroad to conduct exchanges and cooperation and look at promising investment projects.
A series of seminars will also be held, including seminars on China's real estate investment policy and prospects to invest in China's western regions.
Experts estimated that by 2050, more than 960 million of the 1.6 billion Chinese people will live in urban areas. Before 2020, China will need to build 350 to 550 million sq. meters of housing annually.
