Sino-US Tractor Joint Venture Starts Operation
A Sino-US joint venture, the John Deer Tianjin Tractor Co. Ltd, began operation Tuesday in Tianjin in north China.
The joint venture is sponsored by the Tianjin Tractor Manufacturing Co. Ltd, and american farm machinery maker John Deere.
The first stage of the joint venture involves a total investment of 29.99 million US dollars and can manufacture 15,000 large and medium-sized tractors a year.
John Deere, one of the world's top 500 transnational corporations, is also one of the world's ten largest diesel motor and engineering machine producers. It has assets worth 13.8 billion US dollars and its products are sold in 160 countries and regions.
